Every work of art that I create is a story. I understand stories as one of the most important forms of communication; my paintings become mediumistic, asking for ancestral longing or the syntax of the dead. Invoked prayers and spells excavate myself, leading spectators into an otherworldly yet familiar space. Through ritual, my art becomes an expression of the otherness that haunts my existence.

I make art to declare my soul, to leave my body and search for understanding. It is through this confession where I weave Myth like Arachne, tell my own story where Persephone is not dragged to Hell through the gaping maw of the earth; where Woman, shrouded in the damp remains of a quilt, anoints herself in Pleasure and the water of leaky pipes. Where Dream Dog delivers unearthly messages of Fear and Love; where Body becomes Flesh becomes Warning. It is my hope that anyone who sees my work understands that a story is Baptism, meant to protect and empower.
